Dogfish
My workplace has quite a few fish tanks. However with so many types of fish, only 1 has managed to fascinate me this much. It had the face of a dog, and the body of a yellow fish. I would always look out for it, and the amazing thing is, I felt it knew who I was! We, or rather just my friends and I, started calling it Dogfish. I've not seen it in a few days though, so yesterday I made it a point to find it before work started. Only to realise that it was lying on the coral 'ledge', curled up and dead! I was really upset, and since yesterday I've been wanting to know what it really was. After surfing and researching, and pouring over the very useful Saltwaterfish.com, I found it!! It's called a Baby dog-faced puffer! :) That's how it looked like! It was extremely bouyant and would keep drifting with the current. (I'm pretty impressed with how spot-on the name we gave it was!) Also, take a look at Animal-world.com. See! Here it says that Dogfish can recognise you! :) Booo... Dogfish, you are missed! |
