My imaginings - stripped down bare and back to the basics.

Rainy days

It rained a whole lot today.
Thankfully it wasn't a scary thunderstorm.
It was in fact a rather calm shower. (For that moment it actually reminded me of Christmas!)

Anyway, while I was in the study trying to catch up on some reading, I toyed with the idea to just step outside for a while.

To be covered in rain.
To want to be drenched.
Or if I'm adventurous enough, dip into the pool for a lil swim.
How cathartic that would be!

I remember when I was much younger, my friends and I used to run outside just as it started to rain. So that we could 'seek shelter' under this giant palm tree leaf.
We would huddle under the leaf for as long as we could.
Just for the fun and sillyness of it.
And only finally go back inside when my friend's mother starts yelling at us to, or when our fingers start to prune and we're shivering wet in our school uniforms.

How I long to be carefree like that again.
